Privacy Policy

Vivabyte LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ClearDoc mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use ClearDoc.

1. Information We Collect

ClearDoc is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not store your personal information on our servers.

The only information that leaves your device is the text content extracted from documents you choose to photograph and submit for explanation. This text is sent directly to the Anthropic Claude API to generate a plain-English summary.

2. How Your Document Content Is Used

When you photograph a document and request an explanation:

• The text from your document is extracted on your device.
• That text is transmitted to Anthropic's API solely to produce a plain-English explanation.
• We do not retain, log, or store the document text after the response is delivered to your device.
• Anthropic may process this data according to their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Your location data
• Photos or images from your device's camera or photo library beyond what is needed for the immediate document scan
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Device identifiers beyond what the operating system provides to apps by default

4. Children's Privacy

ClearDoc is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through the App, please contact us at ron@vivabyte.app.

5. Data Security

All communication between the App and the Anthropic API is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Because we do not store your data, there is no persistent database that could be breached on our end.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses Anthropic's Claude API to process document text. Anthropic is the sole third-party service provider involved. We have no control over Anthropic's data practices; please review their privacy policy directly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
